My name is James Sullivan Cinematographer, Director and co founder of Bright Morning Star Productions. I am a film graduate from Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts and a working independent filmmaker. I am passionate about making film that is meaningful and relevant to everyday people. My vision for BMS Production is that it will be a new frontier of real heartfelt moving stories that the viewer can see and feel in a personal way. I am hoping to bring back the magic of filmmaking and story telling through the eyes of a camera.

For me, my passion for film started at an early age. Whether it was a classic Disney movie or early 90s family film, I was always obsessed with movies. I believe that movies connect people. If you think about all the different types of people that you have shared a movie theatre with and laughed at a certain scene with, its pretty powerful. My goal is to make films that connect people. Not just to throw anything on the screen but to take my time to really develop a story and characters that people can connect to. Learning different techniques and testing different styles of storytelling are extremely important to me. Film has always been a way to experience different situations and emotions. My goal for Bright Morning Star Productions is to make entertaining films that connect people. I want to collaborate and connect with other filmmakers and create visions that are not only unique to my eye but unique to the audience as well.
